Is There Any Food In Our Food?

Hi, everyone! I've had my head stuck in a book for the last couple of weeks. I'm getting really close to being able to take the fitness trainer exam through NASM. My head is full of anatomy and human movement science and exercises and most of it would bore you to tears if I were to talk about it here.

So did anyone see Andy Rooney's rant about what's in our food on 60 Minutes tonight?

I have a conversation similar to this with at least one person a week because the minute people find out I've lost so much weight in less than a year the conversation invariably turns to what I eat—and what I don't eat. And then we start talking about the evils of processed foods. And how little actual food is in processed foods.

Does this mean you're giving up graphic design? Or just adding "fitness trainer" to your list of talents?

Yep. Saw it.
Bill Mahr is another real food advocate, he'll drop lines here and there, I'd love to hear a whole rant from him.
It doesn't happen on a weekly basis, but it happens enough, 'those' food conversations.

Kristn: I'm definitely NOT giving up graphic design. The fitness training is something I'm doing in addition to what I already do. ;-)

thanks, i haven't had a dose of andy rooney for a while...he is great. my little 3 1/2 year old already talks about artificial colors, artificial flavors and hydrogenated oils...i guess she has been listening to my own rantings! she still likes the artificially colored food, of course, but she can tell you that is isn't real. articulate, if not ready to make her own food choices. glad you passed the blurb along, it does me good to see it!

Uh. Somehow I missed this post and I miss YOU. Where are you? Still studying? Yes. Well, the real food thing. You know how I feel about that. And now? I'm vicariously "in" medical school. Don't get me started! :D

P.S. Looking down at the letters code thingy for the comments below, it'll be a miracle, even with my IQ, if I'll be able to master that..... we shall see how I do. How many tries will it take? Will I need the remedial one that they finally put up if you've failed it three times? Details at 11.
